Stationery Items

1. Booking & Deposits

• A non-refundable booking fee (deposit) is required to secure your booking. This amount is deducted from your final balance.

• By paying the booking fee, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

• Your production slot will not be held until the booking fee has been received.

2. Payments

• All invoices must be paid in full by the due date stated on the invoice.

• Failure to make payment by the deadline will result in services being withheld. This includes design work, printing, dispatch of stationery, attendance at events, or the delivery/setup of hire items.

• Final payment for invitations is required before any proofs are sent to print.

• Final payment for on-the-day stationery is required prior to production commencing.

3. Cancellations

• If you cancel your order after the booking fee has been paid, the booking fee is non-refundable.

• If work has already started or costs have been incurred (e.g. materials purchased), additional charges may apply.

4. Design & Proofing

• You will receive digital proofs of your stationery before production.

• It is your responsibility to check proofs carefully, including spellings, dates, names, and times.

• Once approved, any changes may incur additional charges.

• Sophie Elizabeth is not liable for any errors missed once proofs are approved.

5. Timelines

• Design consultations typically occur around 2 months before you plan to send your invitations.

• Production times vary depending on the complexity and volume of the order. We will provide an estimated timeline during the consultation.

• On-the-day stationery will be finalised and produced approximately 8 weeks prior to your wedding date.

6. Delivery & Collection

• Delivery is available at an additional cost or can be arranged via local collection.

• Sophie Elizabeth is not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services.

7. Hire Items

• Hired items remain the property of Sophie Elizabeth at all times.

• A separate hire agreement may be required.

• Any loss or damage to hire items will result in replacement or repair fees being charged.

• Hire items are for indoor use only and must be placed against a solid wall with stabilisers (provided). Misuse will void any refund or future hire agreement.

8. Intellectual Property

• All designs remain the intellectual property of Sophie Elizabeth and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

• We reserve the right to use photographs of your stationery for marketing and portfolio purposes.

9. Liability

• Sophie Elizabeth is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss caused by delays or errors once proofs are approved.

• We strongly advise all clients to allow ample time for proofing and production.

10. Force Majeure

• We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, illness, or strikes.

Backdrop Hire Items

1. Booking & Deposits

• A non-refundable booking fee (deposit) is required to secure your hire date. This fee is deducted from your final balance.

• By paying the booking fee, you are agreeing to these backdrop hire terms.

• Your booking is not confirmed until the booking fee has been received.

2. Payment Terms

• Full payment is required at least 21 days before your event.

• Failure to make full payment on time will result in Sophie Elizabeth withholding delivery or setup of backdrop items.

3. Use of Backdrops

• Backdrops are strictly for indoor use only. Use outdoors is not permitted under any circumstances.

• Backdrops must be positioned against a solid wall. They are fitted with fold-out legs and stabilised using sandbags, which must remain in place.

• You must not move or alter the position or structure of the backdrops once installed.

4. Customisation

• Packages are customisable and can include (but are not limited to):

  • Welcome Board

  • Mirrored Selfie Board

  • Table Plan Board with Shelves & Frames

  • 2 Plinths

  • Faux Flowers

• Final styling and item list must be confirmed no later than 21 days prior to the event date.

5. Damage, Loss & Responsibility

• All hire items remain the property of Sophie Elizabeth.

• You are responsible for the care of all items from the point of setup until collection.

• Any loss, damage, or misuse will result in repair or replacement charges.

6. Delivery, Setup & Collection

• Delivery and setup will be carried out by Sophie Elizabeth or a member of the team.

• Collection arrangements will be discussed and agreed in advance with couples and venue.

• Items must be returned or left in the same condition they were provided.

7. Cancellations

• Booking fees are non-refundable.

• If cancellation occurs within 14 days of the event, full payment will still be required if costs or preparations have been made.

8. Liability

• Sophie Elizabeth is not liable for injuries or damage resulting from misuse or unauthorised movement of the backdrop.

• Ensure venue staff and guests do not tamper with the structure once set up.

9. Force Majeure

Sophie Elizabeth shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of our obligations where such failure or delay results from any event beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Acts of God

• Natural disasters

• Extreme weather conditions

• Illness or emergency

• Strikes or labour disputes

• Power failure or venue issues

• Travel disruption

In such circumstances, we will make every reasonable effort to notify you and offer alternative arrangements where possible, but refunds will not be issued where cancellation is caused by such events beyond our control.
